.              How long will a geothermal system last ?

.   They will last longer than any other system we sell.  Why?  It is much easier to move
heat from a hot building into a cool earth than it is to move it into outdoor air that is already
hot.  This allows the compressor to run at much lower pressures and cooler
temperatures.   This adds years to the life of the compressor, the heart of the system.

.   All moving parts are now  located inside your building.  They are no longer subjected to
heat, cold, mice, rain, snow, ants, wind, hail, dogs, ornery neighbor kids with ice picks or
BB guns, or even drug addicts stealing copper.  Yes, we have seen all of these.   

.   You would, of course, be wise to ask, "But what about the pipe in the back yard?"  
We use a very thick wall Polyethylene pipe which has a life expectancy of 250 years
underground.  

.   We fusion weld all underground connections giving the connections the same reliability
expectation as the pipe itself.  

.   We generally bury everything at least 3' deep greatly reducing the possibility that any
gardening chore would ever come close to damaging it.
