.   We offer dozens of types and hundreds of sizes of AIR FILTRATION SYSTEMS.
Proper filtration is often overlooked by home and business owners, and yet often causes
more
discomfort and loss of productivity than improper heating and air conditioning
equipment.  The systems we have found best please our customers are Pleated filters
incorporated into the HVAC system.  We prefer systems with a
MERV RATING above 8.

Getting good air filtration is dependant many factors.

1. One, often overlooked is
the amount of air moved across the filter.  Many people
attempt to clean up the air by using "FREE STANDING FILTERS" purchased at
department stores or on TV.  While some of these are scams, many use good
technologies.  The problem with them is that they can only filter the air that moves across
the filter itself.  Many
FREE STANDING FILTERS MOVE only about 1or 200 CFM (Cubic Feet
per Minute) while most HVAC systems move between 1200 and 2000 CFM.  Very simply,
by moving more air through them, we are able to clean more air faster and more
effectively.  Putting a good filter in your HVAC system will provide much greater results.

2.
Having a good quality filter.  If Air Quality is important to you, you should be using at
lest a MERV11 filter.
Please take time to read about MERV RATINGS and what they
mean to you.  While the MERV RATING is a good indication of how well a filter stops
undesirable particles from passing through your filter, it does not tell you anything about
how much air it will pass, or how often it has to be changed.  While there are many more
factors, a good indication is how thick the filter is.  Many of our MERV 8-16 filters are
between 4" and 8" thick.  They are the
PLEATED TYPE which allows them to collect
huge volumes of particulate between the folds, while still passing the air the rest of your
system needs.

3.
Run your fan on continuous.  It doesn't do any good to have the best filter made, if it is
sitting in the basement with no air being moved across it.  I know, you're thinking, "But that
will cost me a lot to run my fan continuous."   Please take time to read about our
DC FANS
that operate for a fraction what your old fan does.

4.
Get the air to the right place.  Proper placement of Return air and Supply vents can
have a major impact on the quality of your indoor air.

5.
Keeping it clean or changed.  When your filter gets dirty, it begins to restrict the airflow.
This can be disastrous to your equipment, decrease your energy efficiency, and cause the
filter to tear or collapse, allowing all of the undesirable pollens, spores, dust, and other
pollutants  it has been saving you from right back into your air space all at one time.
